American sprinter Erriyon Knighton is suspended for four years and thus misses the Olympic Games in Los Angeles 2028.
It is the sports arbitration court Cas that judges Knighton, who previously was acquitted of doping suspicions in the USA after saying that he ingested the banned substance trenbolone when he ate meat at a restaurant.
The International Doping Agency Wada and the athletics integrity unit (AIU) have argued for a four-year suspension and Cas chooses to follow their line.
21-year-old Knighton has finished fourth on 200 meters in two consecutive Olympic Games.
