The rumor that Bruce Springsteen is thinking of putting the guitar on the shelf is greatly exaggerated, according to the rock icon himself. I'm going nowhere, he shouted to the audience during a performance in Philadelphia.

During the ongoing world tour, Springsteen is currently out on tour with his E Street band, and fans have been speculating whether it's the last chance to see them live.

But during a concert in Philadelphia, USA, at the end of last week, Springsteen put an end to the rumors of a farewell tour and retirement:

We've been at it for 50 damn years, and we're not quitting! Good God, no farewell tour for E Street Band!, he shouted to the cheering audience, according to Billboard.

74-year-old Springsteen continued:

Farewell to what? Thousands of people screaming your name? Get lost, I'm going nowhere!

Last year, Springsteen gave fans a scare when he paused the tour after being struck by stomach ulcers. Earlier this year, the tour resumed, which, among other things, took him to Sweden and the Strawberry arena in Solna for two performances in July.
