After two strong trading days, trading in Asia turned more mixed on Wednesday.
In South Korea, however, the Kospi continues to rise and was up 1.3 percent at noon. One of the drivers on the Seoul stock exchange is automotive giant Hyundai Motor, which is up just over 16.2 percent.
In China, trading is more subdued. Shanghai is up 0.3 percent while Shenzhen is up 0.4 percent. Hong Kong's Hang Seng is down 1.0 percent.
The Tokyo stock market is also weaker. The Nikkei 225 is down 0.5 percent and the broader Topix is down 0.4 percent.
