The three artists with the most plays on Swedish Spotify during the year were Taylor Swift, Hov1, and Yasin.
The success of the Shaboozey song is an example of one of the year's biggest music trends – country. According to Spotify, listening to country on the service has increased by 60 percent in Sweden compared to last year.
Globally, the year's most played song was "Espresso" with Sabrina Carpenter with almost 1.7 billion streams on Spotify. Taylor Swift tops the global artist list ahead of The Weeknd and Bad Bunny.
Spotify also compiles a list of the year's most listened-to podcasts on the streaming service. The list is topped by "P3 documentary" and "Fallen I'll never forget" with Hasse Aro.
The controversial American podcast "The Joe Rogan experience" is the fourth largest podcast on Spotify in Sweden.
