The music service Spotify launches high-resolution sound for its premium customers, the company announces in a press release. The feature called "lossless" is rolled out gradually during October in a total of 50 markets, including Sweden.
Since it means larger sound files, the higher sound quality will be optional. The streaming service has previously received criticism for its sound quality and several of Spotify's competitors have long offered high-resolution sound.
Corrected: In an earlier version, an incorrect statement occurred about when Swedish subscribers get access to "lossless".
