"I would prefer to stay in Sweden and start new companies here. If the wealth tax becomes a reality, I will unfortunately have to move from here," Lorentzon says to Dagens Industri in a written comment following up his debate article in Expressen on Saturday.
Several business leaders have recently entered the election campaign and warned of the consequences of an extra tax on billionaires.
"Today, entrepreneurs and business builders are coming here because we have a unique climate for investment, creativity and expertise. A wealth tax that is being discussed in the election campaign would drive people and investment away from here," writes multimillionaire Lorentzon to Di.
