Ski star Therese Johaug, biathlon legend Ole Einar Bjørndalen and football coach Ståle Solbakken will attend the funeral service at Oslo Cathedral on Wednesday.
"I hope it will be a nice and dignified ceremony for the greatest," Bjørndalen tells VG.
King Harald himself was a successful athlete - competing in three Olympics and winning a world championship gold medal in sailing - and had a strong interest in sports.
