White or red wine was served for dinner at Wednesday's gala. However, non-alcoholic options were conspicuous by their absence.
A mistake, according to the CEO of Idrottsgalan.
"I wish I had a great explanation, but I don't. We, as the customers, must have dropped the ball. We weren't good enough and clear enough in our order. We know that a large part of the guests ask for alcohol-free options and I have received criticism from several people," says Stephan Rimér.
"This is our responsibility and a point we need to improve. If anyone has had a bad experience, we apologize."
