Frederico Varandas clarifies:

Which I do not believe since he is one of the world's best football players.

The conflict between Gyökeres and Sporting is based on an agreement regarding a potential transfer sum that the Swede believes the club has broken. He means that the club has promised him to leave cheaper in the summer of 2025, at bids of 60 million euro (660 million kronor) plus 10 million euro (110 million kronor) in bonuses. A message that Sporting has backed away from.

Earlier in June, information emerged that Gyökeres refuses to continue playing with Sporting.

I have been in Sporting for 20 years and I have experienced many transfer dramas. This is a soap opera, continues Frederico Varandas in the same interview with Record.

Himself, Gyökeres wrote on Instagram two weeks ago: ”There is a lot of talk at the moment, most of it is false. I will talk when the time is right.”
