The model is a costume piece with large, round ears on an equally round head, which has been described as "the Iron Age's own Mickey Mouse."
The excavation site at the Iron Age settlement outside Lund is now being decorated with five new statues, created by artist Jackie K Persson.
She reinterprets archaeological objects, says Karin Nilsson at the Uppåkra Archaeological Center.
A lion statuette called Helge and an Odin statuette, both excavated at the site, are models for two of the statues.
The public should also be part of the exciting journey we are on as Uppåkra comes to life again. Part of this is the artistic expression, says Karin Nilsson.
