On Instagram, Brazilian-Spanish former footballer Marcos Senna shared a post with Capdevila on Sunday morning with the text: "On the way to the other star".
However, the trip to the United States was not certain.
On Saturday, Capdevila wrote on the X platform that he had been denied entry and then appealed for help from Donald Trump.
"You don't understand how much I've been looking forward to being there and cheering them on with my teammates from 2010," he wrote.
Capdevila was part of Spain's World Cup victory in South Africa in 2010. The final between Spain and Argentina starts at 9:00 p.m. Swedish time.
