Two former employees have accused the Spanish singer of sexual assault and forced labor at his properties in the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas in 2021.

An initial complaint was dropped in January because Spanish courts were deemed to lack jurisdiction over the events. Following a new complaint in September, sources at the prosecutor's office now say the case can be tried in Spain.

The court will decide whether to open an investigation. Iglesias denies the allegations and says he has never “exploited, forced or violated any woman.”
