Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez visited the fire-ravaged area of Guadalajara, northeast of Madrid, on Wednesday, where around 30 villages have been evacuated.
The fire in the Guadalajara area has so far consumed more than 32,000 hectares of land. No deaths have been reported.
"Year after year, we clearly see how climate change is killing and destroying our communities. It's not about politics. It's facts," Sánchez said during a visit to the village of Tamajón.
He called for a national agreement between all political parties to combat climate change.
Spain has been hit by 22 major forest fires this year, one of which near the city of Almería took 13 lives.
