On X, José Pablo López describes the European Broadcasting Union's actions as "shameful". He believes that the EBU has become a "surveillance machine".

Spain is one of the countries that has dropped out of this year's Eurovision in protest against Israel being allowed to participate. After her victory, Felicia told TT that she does not think it is good that Israel is allowed to participate, which prompted the EBU's head to contact SVT to remind them of the regulations.

José Pablo López believes that time has "proved us right":

"It's shameful to talk about 'responsibility' for artists while remaining silent about Gaza, Lebanon or Iran. That's why we're leaving," he writes on X.
