Halfway into the final round of the European Tour event in India, Jens Dantorp had a sense of victory, but then he made a bogey on the tenth hole. Instead, the Spaniard Eugenio López-Chacarra, who previously played on the competing LIV tour, won.

When Dantorp lost momentum, López-Chacarra stepped on the gas and managed to secure victory on the DP World Tour event in New Delhi with four birdies on five holes.

Dantorp was heading for a shared second place, but a bogey on the final hole after a visit to the water and a solo fourth place. The Swede finished on par overall in the tournament (+1 for the day) and was four strokes behind López-Chacarra, who received a spot in the tournament via a sponsor invitation.

The 25-year-old Spaniard chose after his college career in the USA to play on the LIV tour, which is owned by Saudi Arabia's state investment fund (Pif).

There, he achieved a victory in 2022 and a total of 16 million dollars in prize money, but ahead of 2025, he did not receive a renewed contract, according to Svensk Golf.
