The Spanish government believes that tens of thousands of apartments on the housing service Airbnb violate the rules. Therefore, the rental service has been urged to remove 66,000 illegal advertisements.
Previously, residents in tourist-dense cities, such as Barcelona, have complained that the short-term rental of apartments, which Airbnb offers, has ruined their residential areas.
