Spain won the Women's Nations League – and without their big star Aitana Bonmatí. Claudia Pina scored two goals and Vicky López scored one in the comeback against Germany.

In front of 55,843 spectators at the Metropolitano in Madrid, Spain won 3–0. The first match in Kaiserslautern ended 0–0.

"We had one goal and that was to win and we did it. The whole team played a really good game and we won a new title," Pina told TVE, praising the crowd at Atlético Madrid's stadium.

The atmosphere was crazy, without the supporters the victory probably wouldn't have been possible.

Aitana Bonmatí broke her fibula in training on Sunday, underwent surgery and will be out of football for at least five months. The midfielder has been named the world's best player for three years in a row.

This did not bother the Spanish team, who dominated the match in terms of play and decided with three goals in less than a quarter of an hour midway through the second half.

It was the second time that world number one Spain won the Nations League.
