Spain inflation holds at 3.6% in June, above forecasts

Inflation was unchanged from May, but unexpectedly high. Analysts' average forecast was 3.4 percent, according to a Bloomberg survey.

"The main reason for the increase is that electricity and gas prices have risen more than they did in June 2025, which contributes to upward pressure on inflation," writes the country's statistics agency INE .
