The tech-heavy Nasdaq is down 1.0 percent and the broad S&P 500 is down 0.3 percent. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 0.3 percent.
The price of oil continues to fall. A barrel of North Sea oil was trading at $77.80 in the afternoon local time in Sweden.
