The broad S&P 500 index rose on Friday to record levels when the US stock exchange opened – and exceeded the previous high from February this year.
Shortly after the opening, the S&P 500 is up 0.3 percent, the technology-heavy Nasdaq is up 0.3 percent, and the industrial index Dow Jones is increasing by 0.6 percent.
The increases come in connection with the market welcoming new tariff news from the USA and China, and at the same time hoping for more trade agreements for the Trump administration's part.
