"Inspired by the courage and patriotism of Apple and Google, we are changing the name of 'South Park' to 'South America'," Trey Parker and Matt Stone wrote ironically in a statement ahead of season 29, according to Variety.
The name change comes after President Donald Trump announced that his government will rename Lake Ontario “Lake America” as a result of the trade war with Canada.
Google Maps then began showing the name “Lake America” for users in the US, and Apple later made the same change.
"South Park" has made fun of the president several times in the series.
