South Korea’s Kospi jumps 3.7% after economy grows three times faster than expected

At lunchtime, the Kospi is up 3.7 percent.

Japan's Nikkei 225 is also climbing, up 2.0 percent, while the broader Topix is up 0.7 percent.

In China, however, things look darker. Shenzhen is down 0.3 percent and Shanghai 0.1 percent.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng is down 0.1 percent.
