North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has replaced three senior officials who were responsible for his personal security, Seoul said, in a move seen as a sign that he is increasingly concerned about assassination attempts.

Three government agencies responsible for Kim Jong-Un's security have been given new heads. The change was announced during a military parade in October, the South Korean Unification Ministry, which is responsible for relations with North Korea, said.

He may have assessed that there was a risk of an assassination attempt against him with Ukrainian involvement, in connection with increased international attention, says Hong Min, an analyst at the South Korean think tank Korea Institute for National Unification, referring to the deployment of North Korean soldiers in Ukraine.
