These are missile systems of the ATACMS type and the newer Precision Strike Missile (PrSM). The US-made missiles are used for precision-guided attacks and have been used extensively by the US in the war in Iran and by Ukraine in the war against Russia.
Now three anonymous security sources are warning Reuters that "virtually all" of the missiles in the arsenal have been used up and are warning that an empty stockpile jeopardizes the United States' ability to deter China and Russia.
ATACMS missiles cost at least $1 million each and can take up to two years to manufacture.
