When a US transport plane flew to the Russian capital, Moscow, on Tuesday, some eyebrows were raised. It later became clear that the plane was carrying intelligence chief John Ratcliffe to the country.
Sources to The Wall Street Journal now say that the trip was made because of American concerns that Russia wants to test NATO with a “limited attack” on a member country within the next few years. The CIA director is said to have warned Russia against carrying out such attacks.
Ratcliffe is also said to have discussed the Iran war and the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, sources told CBS.
