Chinese TikTok owner ByteDance is in talks over a possible sale of its gaming unit, Shanghai Moonton Technology, to Saudi Arabia's Savvy Games Group, Reuters reports, citing sources.

An initial agreement in principle is expected to be finalized, according to the news agency, whose sources say the deal - which could take place as early as the first quarter of this year - may be worth $6-7 billion.

Shanghai Moonton Technology was behind the game "Mobile Legends: Bang Bang," among other titles. ByteDance bought the company for about $4 billion five years ago.
