Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Israel are all said to have had a hand in stopping US President Donald Trump's plans for an attack on Iran this week.
Iran did as well.
According to a source familiar with the matter, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi sent a message to US envoy Steve Witkoff on Wednesday, telling him that 800 planned executions of protesters in the country had been cancelled.
Shortly afterwards, Trump announced at a press conference that he had learned that Iran had "stopped killing" protesters, The Washington Post reports.
