Sony is being sued for nearly SEK 25 billion, according to a lawsuit filed in the UK.
The electronics giant is accused of abusing its dominant position in the market, including charging a 30 percent fee on digital purchases made in the company's PlayStation Store.
"This case aims to put an end to that behavior and secure compensation for those affected," Alex Neill, who represents an estimated 12.2 million consumers, told AFP.
The trial begins next week.
