Son Heung-Min left Tottenham and Premier League for a new adventure. In a short time, the South Korean has taken MLS football by storm. Tonight he struck with a hat-trick for Los Angeles FC.

He left London last summer in what is said to have been the most expensive transfer to the North American professional football. The transfer sum was around 250 million kronor for the 33-year-old.

So far, he has done justice to the money. After six played rounds, Son is on five goals scored. The three tonight against Real Salt Lake contributed strongly to Los Angeles' 4–1 win.

Los Angeles climbed up to fourth place in the league's western division.

The move from Tottenham last summer was not made easily.

"It's the toughest decision I've made in my career. I need a new environment to challenge myself. I need a little change. Ten years is a long time. I came to north London as a 23-year-old, now I'm leaving as a grown man – and a very proud one", he said in early August to the club's website.

The South Korean made 173 goals in 454 matches for Tottenham and stands as the fifth best goal scorer in the club's history.
