Nilsson is awarded the prize for her "clear, powerful lyric soprano with which she has conquered the world's leading opera stages."
The award was established by Tetra Laval and comes with a prize of SEK 150,000.
An awards ceremony will take place in conjunction with the Student Singers' traditional Advent concert at All Saints' Church in Lund on November 28.
Earlier this year, Christina Nilsson also won the government's music export prize.
