There is a big difference between Norwegian and Swedish club football right now when it comes to the pace, says Ståle Solbakken.
"It's a marked difference. I watched Djurgården-Gais yesterday. It's... it doesn't go fast," Solbakken said on Tuesday when he presented Norway's squad for the Nations League gathering.
The question became relevant because Djurgården's Bo Hegland has been selected for the Norwegian U21 national team. Hegland has had success at the Stockholm club together with compatriot Kristian Lien.
"We've seen Djurgården play a lot of games, and he's doing very well. Lien is doing well too. But right now, the Allsvenskan is quite far behind the other two Scandinavian leagues," Solbakken says.
Sweden national team captain Graham Potter:
"It's not up to me to agree or disagree. I have to make my decisions based on the information I have and the kind of career I've had," Potter tells TT.
"I'm just trying to make the right decision based on our context. I can't really comment on that move," the Englishman continues.
