"This has nothing to do with Donald Trump. Fifa is its own organisation, they have to stand by what they do, no matter who is pressuring them. I think their decision is wrong, it goes against the idea of the game in every way possible and is indefensible," Solbakken said at Monday's news conference in New Jersey.

The Norwegian national team captain also says the decision could leave the United States with a bitter aftertaste in a possible victory over Belgium in the round of 16.

If they beat Belgium 3-0 tonight, it will be with a bitter aftertaste. Fifa must take this into account. I don't think anyone with a true football heart thinks the decision is right.

Solbakken celebrated the victory over Brazil in his own way.

"I celebrated by going to bed in the hotel room with a Coca-Cola and a piece of chocolate," he says.

The players and other leaders enjoyed a pleasant evening.

It's freedom under responsibility, they can manage that themselves.

Solbakken also said that he received a nice gift after the match - from Brazil's national team captain Carlo Ancelotti.

A representative came with a Brazilian shirt with my name on the back. I'm not going to give that away, says Ha with a smile.

Norway's quarter-final against England will be decided on Saturday evening in Miami.
