"This will be the largest investment in Europe in infrastructure related to artificial intelligence," Masayoshi Son, SoftBank's founder and CEO, told the newspaper La Tribune Dimanche.
The statement comes ahead of an investment conference hosted by President Emmanuel Macron.
According to Son, the planned investments total 75 billion euros, including 45 billion euros that will go to building data centers in the Hauts-de-France region in northern France by 2031.
