The Swede won the shortened stage after a breakaway and can win the race when it ends on Sunday. He leads the overall standings heading into the final stage.
Söderqvist, who rides for Team Lidl-Trek, crossed the finish line as the clear winner in a stage where the final lap was cancelled due to waterlogged roads. The stage had already been shortened by 40 kilometers from the start.
Adrián Benito of Polti VisitMalta came second, and Luke Plapp of Jayco AlUla took third place.
