“We did it together in the 90s, we can do it again,” writes Mikael Damberg, the party's economic policy spokesperson, in a debate article in Dagens Nyheter.
Damberg writes that it is once again necessary to take a comprehensive approach to the tax system in order to “increase efficiency, equity and secure the future financing of welfare.”
According to him, it would be a strength for Sweden if there were a broad agreement on how the system should be designed.
“We believe it is time to take the tax system seriously again. Politicians need to take responsibility for ensuring that the system works in the future,” Damberg continues.
