Party secretary Tobias Baudin is presenting the election promise as the party's election tour begins in northern Sweden.
"We are not going to stand by and watch housing construction remain at today's low levels," Baudin says in a press release.
The idea is for the state to be able to co-finance new construction on favourable terms. Exactly how the construction credits should be designed must be investigated. S also does not have a ready-made model for the investment support, but points out that an analysis carried out on behalf of the Tenants' Association shows that around 60 percent of the homes that received support under the previous investment support would not have been built without support.
