SMHI has issued an orange warning for snowfall combined with wind in southeastern Skåne from Thursday evening until lunchtime on Friday. Between 10 and 20 centimeters of snow is expected, with more locally possible.
A yellow warning for snowfall and wind is in place for southern and central Skåne during the same time period.
Train traffic between Ystad and Simrishamn will be closed at 4 p.m. on Thursday. It is expected to resume at 12 p.m. on Friday, Ystads Allehanda reports.
The Swedish Transport Administration is equipping itself with, among other things, tracked vehicles and heavy-duty trucks in strategic locations, P4 Kristianstad reports.
On Friday there is also a yellow warning for snowfall in parts of Halland and Västra Götaland.
