Usually the tracks are laid the night before the start of the Vasaloppet, but the heavy snowfall forced the organizer to re-lay the tracks in the morning.
"We have all the snow groomers out to make new tracks. We will be going in with snowmobiles and snow groomers during the day," said Tommy Höglund, Vasaloppet's sports director, to SVT.
SMHI has issued a yellow warning for snowfall for Sunday for parts of Värmland, Dalarna and Örebro counties.
