The match between St. Pauli and Leipzig, which was supposed to be played on Saturday, has been canceled due to heavy snowfall.
The decision was made after Hamburg club St. Pauli determined that the match could not be played safely.
The football club said it had worked intensively for several days to clear snow and prepare the stadium, but problems remain - especially removing snow from the stadium roof.
A little later, the news came that Werder Bremen was also forced to cancel Saturday's match with Hoffenheim due to snow and cold.
Berlin has been hit by a cold snap but Union Berlin expects to be able to play against Mainz. The club has received help from volunteer supporters who shoveled snow around the stadium.
