A few days ago, Wrexham's owner, actor Ryan Reynolds, published a picture on Instagram where the 48-year-old, dressed in the team's new match jersey, poses together with a dog and the text:
"The dog is not included."
On Saturday evening, the Welsh league rival Swansea responded: Snoop Dogg in the team's new match jersey and the text:
"Dogg (dog in English is dog) is included."
In the Instagram post, Swansea then fuels the rivalry between the clubs, which will meet next season in The Championship.
"We are Wales' pride."
The 53-year-old American rapper says himself in a clip.
Praise Wales, and Swansea City! Here's your guy Snoop Dogg coming to an area near you.
Swansea City finished last season eleventh in the league. In April, it became clear that the Croatian midfielder star Luka Modric will become a part-owner of the club.
Wrexham AFC has been a hyped team in English league football since Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney bought the club in the 2020–2021 season. The team has been followed by a TV documentary team and advanced from the fifth division National League to the second division The Championship.
The first league match this season between Swansea and Wrexham is at Liberty Stadium in Swansea on December 20.
