SMHI (Sweden’s Meteorological and Hydrological Institute) has issued a yellow warning for snowfall in Dalafjällen, Härjedalen and southern Jämtland.
The warning is in effect from Tuesday evening until Wednesday morning and concerns heavy snowfall, which can cause poor visibility, make it difficult to get around and cause traffic problems.
SMHI expects around 10 centimeters of snow in the area, locally 15–20 centimeters.
"Travel times may be longer due to slippery conditions, poor visibility and sleet. Allow more time for your journey and adjust your speed to road conditions and visibility," the authority writes on its website.
At the same time, a yellow warning for strong winds has been issued for exposed mountain areas in the southern Jämtland Mountains and northwestern Härjedalen Mountains for almost the entire day on Tuesday.
