SMHI warns of torrential rain in parts of Sweden on Sunday

On Sunday, torrential rain is expected in large parts of Stockholm and Uppsala counties, as well as in the southernmost part of Gävleborg county.

There may be large amounts of rain, 30 to 50 millimetres, in a short time. Where the heaviest rain will fall is uncertain. SMHI has issued a yellow warning from 11 a.m. on Sunday until 6 p.m.

In addition, there is a warning of heavy rain in parts of Västerbotten and Västernorrland. There may be large amounts of rain, 50 to 80 millimetres. This warning is valid from Sunday afternoon to early Monday morning.

A warning for torrential rain has been in place for parts of Västerbotten and Norrbotten counties. The warning is valid until 8 p.m. on Saturday.
