According to the yellow warning that has been issued, very windy weather is expected between approximately 1 p.m. and 9 p.m., which could lead to fallen trees and branches blocking roads, among other things.
The warning applies to the coast from a bit north of Lysekil to just south of Gothenburg, as well as a larger area inland between Vänern and Vättern.
It is a low pressure area passing eastward and is expected to bring very strong westerly or southwesterly winds. Near the coast, there may be squalls. The wind is expected to decrease from the west during the evening.
SMHI has three levels of weather warnings:
Yellow warning: Consequences for society, some risks to the public.
Orange warning: Serious consequences for society, danger to the public.
Red alert: Very serious consequences for society, great danger to the public.
