On the bare mountains in the Härjedalsfjällen and Jämtlandfjällen, very strong winds will begin in the afternoon and locally may reach storm force. Heavy snow is also expected, especially in the border mountains. The wind is not expected to subside there until Wednesday evening.
Late Tuesday evening the wind is expected to increase in the low-lying areas of the mountains in Jämtland, and there is a risk of storm gusts. During the night the wind will also increase east of the mountains.
A yellow warning has also been issued for gales in the North Kvarken, North Bothnian Sea, and South Bothnian Sea.
