The yellow rain warnings for Saturday and Sunday apply in northern Värmland and Örebro counties, as well as parts of Västmanland and southern Dalarna counties, and an additional area in parts of Dalarna, Jämtland, Gävleborg and Västernorrland counties.
Locally, up to 30-60 millimetres of rain can fall in a short time, and there is a risk of thunderstorms.
SMHI is also warning of high temperatures in parts of the country. The warning applies to parts of Södermland, Stockholm, Västmanland and Uppsala counties, as well as eastern Götaland and large parts of Kalmar county during Friday and Saturday.
According to SMHI, temperatures are expected to be 26 degrees or more. The peak is expected to be reached on Saturday, when it could locally reach 30 degrees.
