The warnings, first issued earlier this week, have been extended and now apply to large parts of Svealand, Götaland, southern Norrland and southern Västerbotten. There is also a high risk of grass fires on Gotland and Öland.
The warnings are valid for Saturday.
For Götaland, Svealand, Gotland and southernmost Norrland there is also a fire risk warning on Sunday.
SMHI urges great caution when lighting fires outdoors, writing on its website: "Grass fires can easily occur and spread in last year's dry grass."
In Skåne, train traffic between Malmö and Trelleborg was stopped on Saturday afternoon after a grass fire broke out on the tracks, writes Sydsvenskan. At 3:30 p.m., traffic resumed, but there were major delays.
