The risk is high between 11:00 and 19:00 on Sunday in large parts of Götaland, in Svealand, parts of southern Norrland and much of the northern Norrland coast. Öland and Gotland are also included.
A similar assessment applies for largely the same areas on Saturday.
Grass fires also occurred in several places during the day, including outside Mullsjö in Småland and Forsmark in Uppland.
Spring brings an increased risk once the snow has melted and dry, flammable grass from last year is exposed. SMHI urges great caution when lighting fires in gardens or working with large machinery outdoors.
