The risk assessment applies to most of Götaland, eastern Svealand and southeastern Norrland between 11:00 and 17:00 on Tuesday.
The dry grass from last year, exposed after the snow melts in the area, is very flammable, and when it starts to burn, the fire can spread quickly across the terrain.
This can happen, for example, in connection with garden fires or sparks from machinery, SMHI points out, urging great caution on its website.
