The warning is in effect throughout Monday.
Fires in the terrain can easily occur from, for example, arson, sparks from machinery or lightning strikes.
"Check if there is a fire ban in your area, and be very careful when lighting fires or working with large machinery outdoors," SMHI urges.
A smaller area - parts of southern Götaland and Gotland - is covered by a corresponding warning on Sunday.
