SMHI says on its website that there is an increased risk of grass and forest fires in large parts of the country on Friday.
On Gotland, the risk of forest fires in some areas is extremely high throughout the day.
In Götaland, western and eastern Svealand and parts of the coastal region of Norrland, the risk is high to very high, while in some parts of Kalmar, Blekinge and Skåne it is extremely high.
In the western parts of Västerbotten and Norrbotten counties there is a high risk of grass fires until 8 p.m. The same applies to northern Dalarna and southern Jämtland counties.
SMHI urges caution when lighting fires or using machinery outdoors.
